This combination works by lowering the effect of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), Dutasteride inhibits the conversion of testosterone to 5 alpha 7 dihydrotestosterone, which is a major cause of prostate growth. Alpha-1 Adrenergic Blocker relaxes muscles in the prostate and bladder, thus improving urine flow. Lower DHT leads to shrinkage of the enlarged prostate gland.
